Life is good

Isn't it though? Even though below freezing temperatures have descended upon my fair city, my spirits are up due to the amazing success I have recently experienced at gambling. I have somehow managed to turn $300 that I started with last Thursday into the current $3,500 I possess in my bankroll. I have also taken the initiative with some of newfound riches to purchase several new poker books, and if I am successful in clearing another $150 or so tonight betting on the NBA, may decide to purchase the new GTA San Andreas game that I have been wanting. I am aware that it would be nice to purchase Christmas gifts for OTHERS with this cash, but me being the grinch that I am, have chosen to use the money for evil. Besides, I'm the genius who picked Cinci to cover 11 pts, and parlayed the Redskins with the under. My goal is to turn this $3,500 into $5,000 by the New Year and perhaps lay $3 G's or so on USC as I have this feeling that they are really gonna show up for this game and do Oklahoma like Kansas St. and LSU did them last year. I have been reading all of the poker blogger's accounts of their Vegas trip and it sounds like they had a good time. I'm sure after more time passes perhaps some amusing pictures and stories will surface about things occurring even more interesting than poker. Speaking of which, I need to reload my party poker account since I managed to lose my last $100 I had in there at some point over the weekend. To end this rambling, bragging post I will leave you with something for the kids..... enjoy!

Not much to report

Weekend came, weekend went with little of note. Played some poker, drank some alcohol, watched some football. I'm sure this was pretty much the norm for many people this weekend. Bowl games are set and although I believe Auburn to be deserving of the shot to play USC, the SEC was clearly down this year and Auburn did not help themselves by letting the Vols hang around with them on Saturday. I've noticed the opening line on the USC v. Oklahoma game is 3 pts for USC, and I may have to take USC on that before the line increases as I'm sure it will. The Pac-10 is garbage to me, but I have a hunch that USC has enough athletes on offense to put up some points, as well as having enough D to hold down Adrian Peterson. Jason White sucks and reminds me of Gino Toretta from back in the day. He has no NFL future. Well, I guess I'll get back to work, HAPPY 38th BIRTHDAY BUSHWICK BILL!!!

Initial Post

I have just started this new blog for my own amusement, it will likely focus on poker, sports, women, booze, politics, and whatever shit I feel like venting about. For now, however, I bid you adieu.
